Pedro Franco (Millonarios) headed Colombia into the lead after 21 minutes and Andrés Escobar (Deportivo Cali) made it two nil with a good team goal. Captain Juan Cabezas (Cúcuta Deportivo & solid performer for Colombia so far) did well to win the ball just inside his own half, then with his first touch Javier Calle (Independiente) played a fantastic through ball to Escobar who rounded the keeper nicely before slotting home. Bolivia scored a consolation goal after 57 minutes; Darwin Rios (Guabirá) heading in a free kick taken by Alejandro Chumacero (The Strongest).
Ecuador U20 0-1 Brazil: Another lovely team goal from Brazil wins it
Brazil rotated heavily for this one having already ensured qualification prior to the kick off. This win made sure of top spot in the group and was clinched by Henrique's (Sáo Paulo) second goal in as many games since returning from suspension. He played a short pass to Alan Patrick (Santos) who in turn passed nicely toward Oscar (Internacional). With his first touch, Oscar played a back heel deliciously into the path of Henrique who had made a good run since combining with Alan Patrick, a good finish followed and it proved to be the only goal of the game.
